EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR FRESHMEN’S SUCCESSFUL ADAPTATION TO HIGHER SCHOOL

The level of adaptability of the first-year students school to the new learning and social environment, which is the pedagogical university, determines the effectiveness of adaptation measures. Despite the apparent similarities, the criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of adaptation and complete adaptation it is necessary to distinguish between the criteria of adaptation relating to the process and criteria for complete adaptation as related to the result. The authors' criteria for evaluating the impact of system performance of adaptation activities are as follows: satisfaction with the training at the university, performance results, active character of participation in academic and social life of the university; personal self-satisfaction.
